"Jezzie Runs Away"
06/30/07
Well, she got in trouble again a couple days ago. I took Jezzie outside and I have to put a double collar on her to make sure she doesn't run away because she is rambunctious outside wanting to chase the little chipmunks, robins, bunnies and whatever else is in the yard and especially the groundhogs! My husband came a hollering in the door. "Pam, she got loose!" We searched down the trail, I am yelling "Jezebel" for almost 4 hours! So, we decide to drive the car and go look. We go up the hill to the highway and in my head are nightmares of her going to the highway with the tractor-trailers and cars going so fast. We turn right and go down the highway to a little town on down the road from us. We take the little road all the way through the hollow talking to all the people along the way, asking if they had seen her.One family living in a log cabin with growing up sons told me they had not seen her, but the dad asked the one boy to take his bike and go look. So we headed back out of the hollow and made another right on to the highway for another 5 miles and then headed back to home.Coming down the hill I saw her first! She was standing right in the middle of the road just looking at our car. My husband opened the door and he got in the back seat and she got on the front floorboard of the car and just collapsed! When we pulled in to our driveway the young son (Jordan is his name) of the man who lives in the log cabin was here on his bicycle near our home helping to search for her.It has taken her about three days to recoup herself from this adventure. She has a couple cuts on the underneath of her chin. I have wondered and wondered how did she get those? You can be sure I took Jordan a Disciple's cross I made for his trying to help us find our Jezzie!
