FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS AUTUMN

10/27/07
As I sat on my porch this morning I found that I can see the glistening of the sunshine on the river again for the first time since leaves came on the trees back in the first part of springtime this passed year.I could hear the screeching of the metal train wheels on the railroad tracks across the river as the train went loudly through our valley. I could actually see parts of the train cars as they lumbered along. The sun is shining again after two days of rain and gloomy weather. It is cold here in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The leaves are falling from the trees very quickly now and in a short time they will be like dark stems against the horizon. From upstairs in my computer room I can actually SEE the beautiful Youghiogheny River again. Many bikers and hikers and walkers are already using the walking trail and were up very early.Although I am not an Autumn person, I can see why other people love this time of year. My husband certainly does! Jezebel is a dear heart....she loves anykind of weather as long as Eddie takes her for a W A L K! The Hummingbirds are gone, I shall miss seeing them squabble and chase each other around the feeder and Sumac trees.I AM happy that the Yellow Jackets are gone for now and even though I have to have extra clothing on when I sit outside in the morning, I have no fear of their sting now.
